That staggering number equates to more than three times the age-adjusted rate of drug overdose deaths in 1999. This malady contributes to a heavy healthcare spending, disease burden, increase in Domestic violence and associated physical and emotional abuse. Opioid alcohol and other types of drug abuse is wreaking chaos in the lives of families who are your next door neighbors or closer. The President of the United States declared a State of Emergency beacuse of Opioid addiction and drug abuse and in 2018, pledged to win the war.
